The main objective of the Young Researchers Office consist of facilitate these researchers to get a job into the labour market, both in the public and the private sectors.
The YRO has developed two branches in order to carry out this aim.
1st The Formation Programme
The YRO offers a group of courses related with different sides of the R+D world. There is a main course on Science and Technology Management that last for 6 weeks. This course explains the basis that a Research Manager should know to develop its activity in R+D.
This course is complemented by seminars that increase the knowledge on certain matters as International Projects Management, Quality Research Management, Administrative and Legal Regulations, New Technology-Based Firms, etc.
2nd The Employment Section
The YRO offers a virtual meeting place where private companies, Universities, R+D centres and public administrations get together with young researchers looking for a job or for a new job opportunity.
Young researchers submit their CV and update them every six months. The institutions and companies offer their opened positions that are published in the site.
The YRO advices the young researchers with their CV presentation, and answers any possible question on finding jobs. The YRO also selects candidates for the companies and institutions, and submit them a list of Young researchers adapted to the needs of a certain position.
Both, companies and young researchers can protect their confidentiality. |
