Services provided: The ERA Office entails two seats: Madrid and Brussels. The madri+d Delegation in Brussels is part of the Regional Representation Office of Madrid towards the EU. One of its main objectives is to bring the different organizations involved in RTD and innovation in the region of Madrid closer to the EU programmes that can be of interest to them. The madri+d Delegation promotes and facilitates their participation in EU-funded programmes.
The madri+d office in Brussels provides information and advice to organizations involved in RTD, including:
 information on EU programmes, legislation and policies;
 EU funding advice;
 advice on the preparation of proposals, partnership design, contract negotiation, project management, etc.
 search for transnational partners;
 organization of training events and conferences.
The following on-line sections aim to facilitate information on how to participate in EU programmes:
R&D European News: Includes up-to-date information on EU research policy, legislation and programmes. Moreover, it includes a section about the open consultations of the European Commission, enabling citizens to play an active role in the European policy-making process.
Seventh Framework Programme RTD (2007-2013): Provides information on the programme structure and content, budget, participation rules, financial schemes, related documents, links, open calls for proposals, etc. Furthermore, you can consult information about the previous framework programme, the Sixth Framework Programme RTD (2002-2006).
Personal advice: madri+d provides personal advice about RTD funding opportunities through its specific "Advice on-line service". Past enquiries are available on the web.
European research policy: The EU wants to become a leading knowledge-based economy. To this end, making a common research area a reality should mean, in time, that we have the best possible cooperation at every level, that there is more coordination between European, national and regional policies and that more teams are able to form research networks; it should also stimulate the free movement of persons and ideas. Recent proposals presented by the Commission intend to contribute to achieving these goals: intellectual property, public procurement, State aid for research and development activities, fiscal incentives, etc.
