Madrid Science Fair is one of the main projects in Spain to increase the public awareness of science. Madrid Science Fair was born in 2000 inside the Science and Society Programme launched in the Research Regional Plan. Madrid Science Fair is a project to approach science to the general public.

Main Objectives:

 To disseminate scientific culture and present research through a funny and motivating event

 To communicate the science made in the education and research centres by means of its main actors

 To encourage the interest and curiosity towards science by observation, experimentation and analysis

 To show how science influences economic development

 To bring science closer to society in order to be appreciated as something familiar
