Desde el confín del planeta: auroras en el Polo Sur
Justamente ahora que se anuncia el rápido deshielo del casquete ártico, con la consiguiente posibilidad de catástrofe, nos llegan unas impresionantes fotografías tomadas desde la base Amundsen-Scott , localizada en el Polo Sur.

Esta espectacular imagen, tomada por J.D. Hrubes el pasado 5 de julio bajo unas difíciles condiciones (65 grados centígrados bajo cero, o -65 C) , muestra un increíble despliegue en un cielo limpio, cuajado de estrellas.
Una increíble belleza evanescente, como puede ser dentro de pocos años, si el deshielo continúa a esta velocidad, las grandes superficies heladas en su contrapartida del Norte.
