Actualmente cada año los mercados concernientes a la gestión del recurso suelo crecen un 10,2% anual. Tal sector alcanzó los 17.742 millones de dólares en el 2011 y se espera que llegue a los 28.873$ millones en 2017. Veintiocho mil ochocientos millones de dolares, son mucho dinero, para el escaso gasto que se asigna a la investigación de los suelos a nivel mundial. Si la razón es baja, tendremos otro motivo con vistas a reclamar a los gobiernos que aumenten sus inversiones en la materia, ya que actualmente tales cantidades apenas mejoran la paupérrima gestión de los recursos edáficos. De hecho, diversas fuentes nos informan que la denominada salud de la edafosfera continúa deteriorándose o perdiendo, afectando seriamente ala degradación de todos los ecosistemas, el denominado sistema climático, y la salud pública de la ciudadanía. En fin mucha pasta y pocas soluciones satisfactorias con vistas a mantener, tanto la soberanía alimentaria de los países, como la creciente demanda de alimentos debida al crecimiento de la población mundial. Del mismo modo, reiteramos que los enormes insumos de fitosanitarios y fertilizantes se encuentran afectando seriamente la salud de la población. La noticia proviene de una compañía, por lo que la propaganda os la podéis saltar. De hecho ya comenta que “el potencial de este marcado relacionado con los suelos resulta ser ilimitado”, lo que implica que los desastrosos efectos de la agricultura industrial también.
