CIC Energigune is a new energy research centre based in the Basque Country of Spain. Job Function
We are looking for highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our efforts in energy storage technology, industrial prototyping and other industry-related projects in our focus areas. Furthermore, the successful candidate will manage partnerships and agreements with companies, develop projects close to the industry, search for potential partners and be responsible for tech. transfer, coordinate efforts with our fundamental research groups to develop and demonstrate systems in a relevant environment (TRL 6-7)* as well as in screening for potential commercialization opportunities for the research lines pursued at CIC Energigune and Manage the testing and prototyping facilities in the CIC.

What we need
A Ph.D. in Chemical or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or any related area is required + 5-10 years of industrial or industry-related experience. Candidates with battery or supercapacitors technology experience, and/or applied electrochemistry experience will be
given preference. The successful candidate must have a proven record of
patenting and leadership in industrial projects.
Applicants should be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Basque will be considered useful but not compulsory.
Ability to communicate, to identify potential commercially-interesting opportunities, to motivate team members, and to establish R&D priorities for industrial projects, will be very valuable.
