Lab description
We focus on the study of PEPCK isozymes and their role in obesity, diabetes and cancer, using: (i) gene modified models (DNA and siRNA delivery in vivo), (ii) molecular biology and metabolic profiling, and (iii) cell physiology, including the analysis of mitochondrial function.
Currently, the laboratory has a vacant to work in the following active
project:
study the role of mitochondrial PEPCK in the liver, muscle and proliferating cells adapted to specific nutrients.
