The Biomarkers and Nutritional & food Metabolomic research group (http://nutrimetabolomics.com/) is part of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science of the University of Barcelona, Fun-C-Food Consolider Project, and Food-Omics Network. THe group focuses its research activities on the discovery of biomarkers of food intake and effect, as well as biomarkers of risk prediction, early diagnosis and prognosis of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, within nutritional and epidemiological studies. The group applies targeted and untargeted LC-MS o NMR-driven metabolomic approaches for high-throughput food and biological sample analysis.
1.- Position description.
This call has been launched for the recruitmnt of young investigators of the highest international profile to apply for a 3 up to 5-year postdoctoral scientist position within the Spanish NAtional Programme for recruitment and Incorporation of Human Resourcess. Depending on their expertise, candidates will be motivated to apply for the Postdoctoral Junior Grants (MICINN-JDC) or the postdoctoral Senior Grants (MICINN-RYC).
2.- Candidate requirements
Candidates must hold a PhD in Biomedical Sciences or Experimental Sciences (Biology, Biochistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, Bioinformatics, Biostadistics). Experienice in High-Throughput screening plattforms, Metabolomics, algorith development or Biostatistics and Data Analysis for Imics Data will be highly desired.
