The Sustainable Production and Consumption Unit has several vacancies for a post-doctoral researcher to work in the field of scientific support to environmental product policies. The research will establish a comprehensive evidence base for certain product groups and prepare the implementation of EU product policy instruments such as the Eco-design Directive and the Ecolabel Regulation. The successful candidates' main tasks will consist of developing this research using an interdisciplinary approach combining technical, environmental and economic elements, as well as close interaction with stakeholders from EU Member States, industry and NGOs, analysis and summary of results and preparation of reports for policy makers.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or a minimum
of 5 years of research experience after the first
degree giving access to doctoral studies
A very good level of written and spoken
English is essential and knowledge of at least
one other EU language is compulsory.
