The goal of the project, funded by the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI), is to develop a new comprehensive radiography system that incorporates advanced technology both hardware and software, which will be commercialized worldwide by SEDECAL. SEDECAL is in charge of the hardware part of the project and BiiG will develop the imaging processing software. The candidate will be part of the imaging processing software team participating in the design, development and test phases, using the X-ray equipment available at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital and the UC3M.

Site Description

The work of BiiG group at UC3M is mainly focused on medical imaging technology research and its use on challenging, state-of-the-art biomedical experiments. The group is markedly multidisciplinary covering from the engineering aspects of the detectors, devices and complete imaging systems to the design of probes aimed to specific biomarkers. It maintains a partnership with other university departments as well as with the main imaging services of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón (Madrid); this facilitates the training possibilities and the translation of the results to clinical applications.
