Jean-Marie Rousseau is a geographer and economist by training. He has gained, during more than thirty years of travels around the World, wide experience in economic development for the evaluation of knowledge (R&D and technological innovation) and human capital. He has participated in the launch of Regional Innovative Action Programs under the auspices of the General Directorate of Regional Policy of the European Commission and in the management and stimulation of programs of Regions of Knowledge in the General Directorate of Research of the European Commission. It is worth mentioning his important work in the General Directorate of Regional Policy of the European Commission as well as in the United Nations Development Program.
Jean-Marie ROUSSEAU, géographe et économiste, a capitalisé pendant plus de trente ans à travers le monde des expériences de développement économique par la valorisation de la connaissance (R&D et innovation technologique) et du capital humain. Il a participé au lancement des Programmes Régionaux des Actions Innovatrices au sein de la DG Politique Régionale de la Commission européenne pendant trois ans, puis à la DG Recherche de la Commission européenne à la gestion et à l'animation des programmes Regions of Knowledge. Il a récemment réalisé pour le gouvernement français et l'OCDE une étude sur les Pôles de Compétitivité à partir du cas Minalogic de Grenoble, ainsi que pour la Région Ile-de-France une étude sur la rénovation du schéma régional d'innovation, s'appuyant sur l'étalonnage comparatif de 10 régions européennes. Il vient de s'engager sur une étude pour la DIACT sur les Pôles de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur et poursuit des modes de coopération sur le thème de l'éco-développement et des cleantechs entre des Provinces chinoises et des régions européennes.
