importance in daily management, is even more important when special
circumstances alter the preexisting competitive conditions. In this sense,
after a strong growth in Tourism Industry, September 11th
events were an inflextion point with negative rates in all environments.
Facing these issues, Europe, and specifically Spain, is compelled to
formulate innovative strategies in Tourism products and services. The aim
is to attain the growth rates forecasted before September 11th. |

is a key issue in Organizational studies because it is a main variable to
obtain competitive advantages within competitive and turbulent
environments. Technological innovations are one of the fundamentals in the
economic and social transformation operating in organizations. This
phenomenon has impacted in the Tourism industry. In this industry,
technological innovations attained a role as critical strategic resource
in their operations, and also as a competitive advantages source following
the importance of information in this business. This paper shows an
analysis on the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)
innovations within hotels. The aim is to obtain a deep understanding of
the main variables guiding its implementation. Empirical analysis results
show that the critical variables of the technological innovation are the
level and integration of the hotel. |
