This paper has as its solely objective to emphasize the
closed relationship between the technological development level (nations
and firms) and the corporate culture. This culture is the set of values
and beliefs shared by all the people collaborating within the firm.
After exposing what they understand for a technological
firm, the authors emphasize the key importance of the formation function
to attract talented people, and to develop a policy of rewards that helps
to add value to the company and to improve the individual personal
competencies. All these efforts must be accompanied by a commitment of
financing especially high (2-4% over the total payroll) part of the high
management and other agents.
Technological innovation is recognized as a critical
factor in competitiveness of the firms. SMEs have problems to obtain
technological information. In the Region of Murcia (Spain) the most of the
firms are SMEs. Our project aim is to create a continous information
system about the current situation and scientific and technological trends
in relevants sectors for the Region and to organize and communicate the
results from this system to SMEs. In this way, we have developed and
applied a proper methodology in order to detect technological innovation
needs in SMEs, to look for information about these needs and to analyse
and spread the conclusions to the enterprises.
