Debido a su reducida masa, no alcanzan temperaturas y densidades en sus interiores lo suficientemente altas como para fusionar deuterio, un is\u00f3topo del hidr\u00f3geno compuesto por un prot\u00f3n y un neutr\u00f3n, o cualquier otro elemento qu\u00edmico. La imagen fue obtenida con el telescopio Keck y t\u00e9cnicas especiales que permiten realzar el contraste y eliminar casi todo el brillo de la estrella central. Sus planetas tienen masas entre 7 y 10 veces la de J\u00fapiter y orbitan a gran distancia de la estrella (15, 40 y 70 unidades astron\u00f3micas). Cr\u00e9ditos: Christian Marois, Bruce Macintosh, Keck Observatory.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la misma resoluci\u00f3n de la UAI, los objetos subestelares, con masas superiores a los anteriores, pero que no fusionan hidr\u00f3geno, se deben denominar enanas marrones.
