La hip\u00f3tesis presentada por Agust\u00edn y Ricardo es que en este mundo fr\u00edo (la temperatura en la superficie es de 179 grados cent\u00edgrados bajo cero) el metano tendr\u00eda en Tit\u00e1n un papel similar al que desempe\u00f1a el agua en la Tierra: posibilitar un ciclo de tormentas y lluvias que han convertido esta fr\u00eda y enigm\u00e1tica luna de Saturno en un lugar morfol\u00f3gicamente muy parecido, cualitativamente, a algunos paisajes terrestres. El metano podr\u00eda estar en Tit\u00e1n en los tres estados de la materia que conocemos: s\u00f3lido, l\u00edquido y gaseoso.<\/p>\n<p>Nada mejor que dejar a los propios autores que expliquen su descubrimiento.
