La <a href=\"http:\/\/mars.jpl.nasa.gov\/mgs\/gallery\/20061206a-gullies.html#allimages\" target=\"blank\">nota de prensa de NASA <\/a>empieza con una interrogaci\u00f3n, pero el contenido no deja lugar a dudas. No, no hay agua l\u00edquida en la superficie de Marte. Empezando porque las condiciones fisico-qu\u00edmicas de la atm\u00f3sfera no lo permiten. En cualquier caso, lo que los datos indican es que en cierto momento, durante los pasados 10 a\u00f1os, una irrupci\u00f3n de material formado por una mezcla de sedimentos y l\u00edquidos de propiedades similares al agua (sin especificar su composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica) apareci\u00f3 en ese y otros barrancos marcianos. S\u00f3lo se sugiere que podr\u00eda ser agua lo que ha discurrido por este barranco fotografiado por la sonsa Mars Global Surveror. Se tratar\u00eda de una riada,\u00a0aunque tal vez, especulo yo (y recuerdo que no soy un especialista en el tema), est\u00e9 propusada por otro material, como CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0l\u00edquido. Despu\u00e9s de todo, en Tit\u00e1n, el sat\u00e9lite de Saturno, es el <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.madrimasd.org\/astrofisica\/archive\/2006\/07\/27\/35535.aspx\" target=\"blank\">metano<\/a> quien juega el papel que el agua tiene en la Tierra.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.laeff.cab.inta-csic.es\/users\/barrado\/weblog\/Mars_MGS_gully_detail.hr.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Detalle de la figura anterior, mostrando el flujo de material.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">En cualquier caso, esta noticia hace a\u00fan m\u00e1s interesante al planeta.
