Uno de sus programas es \u201cHubble Heritage\u201d, que pone a disposici\u00f3n del p\u00fablico impresionantes im\u00e1genes astron\u00f3micas. La de hoy corresponde a una de las galaxias m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximas, <a href=\"http:\/\/hubblesite.org\/newscenter\/archive\/releases\/2007\/19\/image\/a\/\" target=\"blank\">M81<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.laeff.cab.inta-csic.es\/users\/barrado\/weblog\/M81_HST.lr.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Fotocomposici\u00f3n de la galaxia M81, tomada en tres filtros diferentes durante varias \u00e9pocas con el instrumento ACS a bordo del HST (cr\u00e9dito NASA\/ESA) <\/em><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">Este \u201cuniverso-isla\u201d, que dir\u00edan en el siglo XIX, est\u00e1 localizado a algo menos de 12 millones de a\u00f1os-luz (s\u00ed, los seres humanos no exist\u00edan entonces, ni siquiera los <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mundofree.com\/origenes\/evolucion\/arbolhominidos.html\" target=\"blank\">hom\u00ednidos<\/a>). En realidad la imagen es un mosaico tomado durante diferentes \u00e9pocas con la c\u00e1mara ACS, y permite ver distintas compones de la galaxia, desde estrellas relativamente masivas hasta asociaciones estelares.<\/div>\n<p>La calidad de la fotograf\u00eda es tan grande que, por primera vez (al menos que yo sepa), NASA ofrece una versi\u00f3n en <a href=\"http:\/\/hubblesite.org\/newscenter\/archive\/releases\/2007\/19\/image\/a\/warn\/\" target=\"blank\">alt\u00edsima resoluci\u00f3n<\/a>, con versiones en formato jpg de 74 megas y en tiff en casi 700 megas.
