Como cada a\u00f1o, me ha llegado el anuncio de las X Jornadas de Bioinform\u00e1tica<\/a> (http:\/\/www.bitlab-es.com\/jbi2010\/<\/a>). Este a\u00f1o se van a celebrar en Torremolinos, M\u00e1laga<\/a>, del 27 al 29 de Octubre, y las Jornadas est\u00e1n organizadas de forma conjunta entre INB (Instituto Nacional de Bioinform\u00e1tica)<\/a> y PNB (Portuguese Bioinformatics Network)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

La l\u00ednea principal de la conferencia de este a\u00f1o es el uso de la bioinform\u00e1tica para la medicina personalizada<\/a>, as\u00ed como los siguientes temas de inter\u00e9s: an\u00e1lisis de datos provenientes de ultrasecuenciaci\u00f3n<\/a>; bioinform\u00e1tica estructural<\/a>; algoritmos para biolog\u00eda computacional<\/a> y HPC<\/a>; an\u00e1lisis de secuencias<\/a>, filogen\u00e9tica<\/a> y evoluci\u00f3n<\/a>; bases de datos, herramientas y tecnolog\u00edas para la biolog\u00eda computacional; la bioinform\u00e1tica en la transcript\u00f3mica<\/a> y la prote\u00f3mica<\/a>; biolog\u00eda de sistemas<\/a> y sint\u00e9tica<\/a>… El anuncio se hizo oficial hace un par de d\u00edas, con lo que todav\u00eda no est\u00e1 disponible un programa detallado del congreso.<\/p>\n

Si est\u00e1is interesados en participar en la conferencia como ponentes o mediante un p\u00f3ster, ten\u00e9is de plazo hasta el 5 de septiembre, mientras que para la inscripci\u00f3n de precio rebajado ten\u00e9is hasta el 30 de septiembre. Todav\u00eda no est\u00e1n disponibles en la web los precios de las inscripciones<\/a>, aunque seguro que se har\u00e1n p\u00fablicos en breve.<\/p>\n

**** CALL FOR ORAL AND POSTERS ****<\/p>\n

Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committees, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the \u00abX Jornadas de Bioinform\u00e1tica\u00bb to be held in M\u00e1laga from 27th to 29th October 2010, organized by the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute in collaboration with the Portuguese Bioinformatics Network and hosted by the University of Malaga (Spain).<\/p>\n

The aim is to provide a forum to present and discuss the lines of research and development of national and international groups working on Bioinformatics.<\/p>\n

This year the conference will dedicate special attention to the area of \u00abBioinformatics for personalized medicine\u00bb<\/p>\n

The Program Committee seeks contributions in the following areas (not limited to):
\n* Analysis of high throughput data\u00a0 (NGS)
\n* Structural Bioinformatics
\n* Algorithms for computational biology and HPC
\n* Sequence analysis, phylogenetics and evolution
\n* Databases, Tools and technologies for computational biology
\n* Bioinformatics in Transcriptomics and Proteomics
\n* System and Synthetic Biology<\/p>\n

Together with a number of invited talks, this edition will also hold the ‘Highlights session’ where selected papers published in the previous year will be presented.<\/p>\n

All communications will be in English.<\/p>\n

Submissions of papers and communications will not exceed 1 page for abstracts or 4 pages for papers. Both oral and poster submissions are accepted. Posters will be displayed during the meeting and a number of papers will be selected for oral presentation in the meeting. Extended version of selected papers will be invited to be
\nevaluated for publication in a journal after the meeting. All submissions will appear in the workshop proceedings.<\/p>\n

Submissions for the highlight session must include a short abstract describing the main interest of the paper, the PDF of the published paper and the author that will present the work.<\/p>\n

**** CALL FOR ADDITIONAL CONFERENCE TUTORIALS ****<\/p>\n

JBI 2010 will feature a series of tutorials the 27th October.
\nProposals for tutorials, covering a specific theme (NGS, Personalized Medicine, Web Technologies etc.) and lasting about half a day are encouraged and solicited until September 5th, 2010.<\/p>\n
