Celebramos el 150 aniversario de la teor\u00eda darwinista de evoluci\u00f3n por selecci\u00f3n natural y vemos como cunde la idea de que tal teor\u00eda no es verdaderamente cient\u00edfica sino otra cosa. En el mejor de los casos y por lo menos, torpe descripci\u00f3n de unos hechos.<\/p>\n

Ya ha quedado claro como, para muchos autores de reconocido prestigio, la \u201cselecci\u00f3n natural\u201d es proceso, hecho, conjunto de hechos o puede que relato de hechos, pero no teor\u00eda. El mismo Lewontin, quien comparaba el estudio de la evoluci\u00f3n con una m\u00e1quina incapaz de distinguir, nos hac\u00eda ver la confusi\u00f3n reinante<\/a> en el campo, mediante la cual una, ya antigua, tradici\u00f3n de bloqueo mental impide a sus m\u00e1s magnos representantes discernir hecho de teor\u00eda. Efectivamente, abundan ejemplos de tal bloqueo<\/a> que, si amargo es reconocerlo, mucho m\u00e1s lo ser\u00e1 el darse cuenta de la dificultad que encontrar\u00e1 para distinguir entre distintos hechos o procesos quien fuera incapaz de distinguir entre un hecho y una teor\u00eda, pero esto nos llevar\u00e1 m\u00e1s tiempo discutirlo,\u2026\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n

Por ahora conform\u00e9monos con seguir en nuestro empe\u00f1o por responder a tan importante pregunta: Hecho,Teor\u00eda o alguna otra cosa,…. \u00bfQu\u00e9 es la Selecci\u00f3n Natural? A tal fin acudamos en busca de m\u00e1s datosque aclaren nuestras dudas. Vayamos hoy a las fuentes originales, al origen mismo de toda esta confusi\u00f3n: el propio texto de Darwin.<\/p>\n

Pasen y vean como se nos presentala selecci\u00f3n natural en la obra. Entren en los dominios de la ambig\u00fcedad y de la indefinici\u00f3n y observen c\u00f3mola selecci\u00f3n natural es presentada de manera tan indefinida como unaletan\u00eda religiosa; entidad que cambia\u00a0 m\u00e1s de significado en cada p\u00e1gina que Mortadelo de traje. Casi cualquier cosa puede ser la selecci\u00f3n natural si uno se ci\u00f1e estrictamente al texto de Darwin.<\/p>\n

Veamos pues, sin querer

\u00bfQu\u00e9 es, pues,\u00a0 la Selecci\u00f3n Natural?<\/h3>\n
Si la lectura de un texto cient\u00edfico ha de servir para disipar dudas, por el contrario, despu\u00e9s de leer a Darwin, uno es n\u00e1ufrago en un mar de dudas. Tanto podemos encontrarnos ante una letan\u00eda como ante una broma. Lo \u00fanico seguro es que no estamos ante una teor\u00eda cient\u00edfica. Para terminar de convencernos y salir de dudas, una cita literal del principio del cap\u00edtulo 4, titulado precisamente NATURAL SELECTION; OR THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST :<\/p>\n
In the literal sense of the word, no doubt, natural selection is a false term <\/em><\/p>\n
En vista de lo cual, hemos de concluir que la selecci\u00f3n natural no solamente no es teor\u00eda cient\u00edfica, sino que es un t\u00e9rmino in\u00fatil por su total ambig\u00fcedad. Falso, como su propio autor bien indica.<\/p>\n
Llegados a este punto, tambi\u00e9n reconocer que NO hemos sido los primeros en llegar a esta conclusi\u00f3n, ni mucho menos. Y es que algunos contempor\u00e1neos de Darwin hilaban ya muy fino\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<\/a><\/p>\n
