Naci\u00f3 as\u00ed <B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">Ruedo Ib\u00e9rico<\/B>. Entre 1962 y 1979, m\u00e1s de 150 libros circularon en Espa\u00f1a de forma clandestina, con algunos t\u00edtulos emblem\u00e1ticos como <EM><SPAN style=\"COLOR: black\">La guerra civil espa\u00f1ola<\/SPAN><\/EM><SPAN style=\"COLOR: black\"> de Hugh Thomas y <EM>El laberinto espa\u00f1ol<\/EM> de Gerald Brenan. La colecci\u00f3n m\u00e1s significativa fue Espa\u00f1a Contempor\u00e1nea, de contenidos pol\u00edticos, sociales y culturales. En 1969 abrieron librer\u00eda en el n\u00famero 6 de la rue de Latran (Barrio Latino) y comenzaron a distribuir en Europa los fondos de varias editoriales latinoamericanas, entre ellas Grijalbo, Era, Siglo XXI, Cajico, Cuadernos Americanos y Siglo Ilustrado. En 1965 crearon la revista <I style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal\">Cuaderno de Ruedo Ib\u00e9rico<\/I>, donde se publicaron art\u00edculos sobre temas puntuales o los de extensi\u00f3n insuficiente para formar un libro. <xxml:namespace prefix = o ns = \"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office\" \/><o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"COLOR: black\">La editorial Backlist rescata del olvido los fondos de Ruedo Ib\u00e9rico para reeditarlos, respetando los vol\u00famenes m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticos y a\u00f1adiendo estudios introductorios y bibliograf\u00edas. El primer t\u00edtulo ser\u00e1 <I style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal\">El eco de los pasos<\/I> de Juan Garc\u00eda Oliver.
