There is a new opening for PhD positions at the IFT. There are two positions associated to the Severo Ochoa Excellence Center grant, and four positions associated to other grants.<\/p>\n

Candidates are expected to carry out a PhD in one of the strategic research lines of the IFT, which include particle phenomenology, astroparticle physics, nuclear theory, string theory, gravitation and cosmology, lattice and quantum field theory, and quantum information theory. They should have an excellent academic track record, and are expected to hold an academic degree that grants access to a PhD program at the time of formalisation of the contract.<\/p>\n

The deadline for applications is from September 13th to September 27, 2016, at 15:00<\/p>\n

SEV-2012-0249-16-1 The origin of mass and the Higgs particle<\/p>\n

SEV-2012-0249-16-2 Beyond the Standard Model and the LHC<\/p>\n

They are expected to provide:<\/p>\n

– A copy of the passport
\n– An updated CV, either in English or Spanish
\n– A certificate of academic degrees- A certificate of the Masters degree, indicating:
\n\u2022 Issue date
\n\u2022 List of subjects and grades
\n\u2022 For foreign degrees maximum and minimum grade should be indicated as well as the minimum grade for obtaining the title<\/p>\n

An official translation should be provided for titles not issued in Spanish or
\nEnglish.<\/p>\n

In addition they can send an expression of interest to the IFT by registering
