Este pasado miércoles, 29 de noviembre de 2017, tuve el privilegio de entrar a formar parte de una distinguida corporación, la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales. La Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales fue creada el 25 de febrero de 1847, aunque tiene sus antecedentes en la Academia Real Mathematica, fundada por Felipe II el 25 de diciembre de 1582, tras iniciativa del entonces Aposentador Mayor Juan de Herrera. La Real Academia tiene 54 académicos de número, y la medalla que me corresponde es la número 36.
