Para el an\u00e1lisis se ha utilizado la clasificaci\u00f3n por \u00e1reas tem\u00e1ticas de la base de datos Scopus, que discrimina entre 27 grandes \u00e1reas de conocimiento que se dividen en unas 300 categor\u00edas tem\u00e1ticas, tal y como se describe en el informe.
