mso-bidi-font-family: Arial\">Son numerosos los vertidos residuales en forma de corrientes acuosas que contienen <B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">compuestos org\u00e1nicos<\/B> <B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">no biodegradables<\/B>, por m\u00e9todos convencionales, y <B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">refractarios a la oxidaci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica<\/B>.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/SPAN>Estas aguas residuales son principalmente industriales, pero estos contaminantes tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n apareciendo en las dom\u00e9sticas aunque en menor concentraci\u00f3n.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/SPAN>principalmente a los recursos naturales del agua<\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'\">. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial\">Este tipo de contaminaci\u00f3n se debe a la presencia de hidrocarburos arom\u00e1ticos polinucleados (PAH), compuestos fen\u00f3licos, hidrocarburos halogenados (AOX), BTEX, pesticidas, colorantes, etc. Todos ellos pueden ser agrupados de forma com\u00fan bajo el par\u00e1metro de la<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/SPAN><B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">DQO refractaria<\/B>, que engloba toda esta carga org\u00e1nica.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma\">La <B>Ley 16\/2002<\/B> de <B>Prevenci\u00f3n y Control Integrados de la Contaminaci\u00f3n<\/B> <B>(IPPC)<\/B>, que transpone la <B>Directiva Europea 96\/61\/CE <\/B>del mismo nombre, <\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma\">establece la <SPAN style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: bold\">lista de las principales sustancias contaminantes que se tomar\u00e1n obligatoriamente en consideraci\u00f3n si son pertinentes para fijar valores l\u00edmite de emisiones.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/SPAN>En el caso del <\/SPAN>agua cabe distinguir:<SPAN style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: bold\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P> <UL style=\"MARGIN-TOP: 0cm\" type=square> <LI class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify; tab-stops: list 36.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma\">Hidrocarburos persistentes y sustancias org\u00e1nicas t\u00f3xicas persistentes y bioacumulables, y<\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma\">Sustancias que ejercen una influencia desfavorable sobre el balance de ox\u00edgeno (y computables mediante par\u00e1metros tales como DBO, DQO, TOC).<\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/LI><\/UL> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial Narrow'\">La DQO refractaria quedar\u00eda definida por las sustancias de ambos grupos. Ante este problema la UE mediante el documento BREF de la IPPC: <B style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">Mejores T\u00e9cnicas Disponibles en Sistemas Comunes de Tratamientos\/Gesti\u00f3n de Aguas y Gases Residuales en el Sector Qu\u00edmico (2003)<\/B> establece las l\u00edneas de actuaci\u00f3n que deben seguir las empresas para reducir las emisiones al agua. Destacar que divide los contaminantes en tres grandes grupos, y asigna a cada bloque una serie de t\u00e9cnicas de eliminaci\u00f3n (consideradas t\u00e9cnicas de final de tuber\u00eda):<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoBodyTextIndent2 style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt 36pt;
