Se trata de una mutaci\u00f3n de una cepa del virus de la gripe porcina. La nueva cepa aislada es la AH1\/N1. font-family: &quot;Comic Sans MS&quot;; font-weight: normal;\" lang=\"ES\">Tambi\u00e9n es llamativa la rapidez con la que se esta difundiendo apareciendo brotes en diferentes ciudades del centro de M\u00e9xico y en tres estados del sur de Estados Unidos, aunque ahora en las noticias al parecer existen casos sospechosos incluso en Espa\u00f1a.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; (cinco en California y dos en Texas) y nueve casos sospechosos. Los siete casos confirmados de una enfermedad leve similar a la gripe (ILI), de los cuales \u00fanicamente <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">uno ha requerido una hospitalizaci\u00f3n breve. No se han reportado muertes. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">El Gobierno de M\u00e9xico ha informado de tres eventos distintos. En el Distrito Federal de M\u00e9xico, la vigilancia comenz\u00f3 a registrar los casos de ILI a partir del 18 de marzo.. El n\u00famero de casos ha aumentado constantemente a lo largo de abril y <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">a 23 de abril hay m\u00e1s de 854 casos de neumon\u00eda en la capital. De esos, 59 han fallecido.<\/SPAN><\/B> En San Luis Potos\u00ed, en el centro de M\u00e9xico, se han notificado 24 casos de ILI, con tres muertes y en Mexicali, cerca de la frontera con los Estados Unidos, , se han notificado cuatro casos de ETI, sin muertes. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">De los casos de M\u00e9xico, <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">18 han sido confirmados en el laboratorio<\/SPAN><\/B> de referencia de Canad\u00e1, <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">como gripe porcina A\/H1N1<\/SPAN><\/B>, mientras que <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">12 de esos son gen\u00e9ticamente id\u00e9nticos a las A\/H1N1 virus de la gripe porcina de California<\/SPAN><\/B>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">La mayor\u00eda de estos casos se han producido en adultos j\u00f3venes sanos<\/SPAN><\/B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">. Normalmente, la gripe afecta a los muy j\u00f3venes y los muy viejos, pero estos grupos de edad no han sido afectados en M\u00e9xico. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">Porque hay casos humanos asociados con un virus de la gripe animal y debido a la dispersi\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica de los m\u00faltiples brotes comunitarios, adem\u00e1s de los grupos de edad un tanto inusual afectados, estos eventos son de gran preocupaci\u00f3n. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">La influenza porcina causada por <B><SPAN style=\"COLOR: blue\">el virus A\/H1N1 que ha sido aislado<SPAN>&nbsp; <\/SPAN>en este brote no se hab\u00eda detectado anteriormente en cerdos o humanos<\/SPAN><\/B>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ha estado en contacto constante con las autoridades de salud en los Estados Unidos, M\u00e9xico y Canad\u00e1 a fin de comprender mejor el riesgo que plantean estos eventos ILI.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P> <P class=MsoNormal style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: blue; FONT-FAMILY: 'Comic Sans MS'\">OMS (y la OPS) enviar\u00e1n expertos a M\u00e9xico para trabajar con las autoridades de salud all\u00ed. Se trata de ayudar a sus Estados miembros a aumentar las actividades de la epidemiolog\u00eda de campo, el diagn\u00f3stico de laboratorio y el manejo cl\u00ednico.<\/SPAN><\/B><SPAN lang=ES style=\"FONT-SIZE: 11pt;
