As\u00ed pues son tres los factores que intervienen en la ecuaci\u00f3n. Mal asunto cuando se incluyen todas en el mismo saco. Se habla mucho de la futura guerra del agua, por cuanto se trata de un bien escaso. Actualmente, la prensa nos recuerda la crisis alimentaria que actualmente padecemos. As\u00ed pues, la humanidad debe aumentar la producci\u00f3n alimentaria. Tal actividad requiere un adecuado manejo del sistema suelo-agua-planta. El caso es que ya hemos hecho uso de casi todas las principales regiones con suelos f\u00e9rtiles del mundo, degradando parte de ellas irreversiblemente. Del mismo modo, el sellado por urbanizaci\u00f3n e infraestructuras afecta principalmente a los suelos de mayor rendimiento agropecuario. <span style=\"\">&nbsp;<\/span>M\u00e1s aun, la nauseabunda y miope pol\u00edtica para la obtenci\u00f3n de biocombustibles o agrocombustibles, a\u00f1ade m\u00e1s le\u00f1a fuego, al entrar otro elemento en la competencia por los usos de suelo. Digan lo que digan, nuestros gobernantes y prensa, la guerra por el agua no es m\u00e1s que uno de los elementos de un problema mucho m\u00e1s complejo. Pero, \u00bfhay tambi\u00e9n una guerra por el suelo? Efectivamente tal batalla ha comenzado, como demostraremos hoy con pruebas irrefutables. Sin embargo, el drama resulta ser a\u00fan m\u00e1s s\u00f3rdido de lo que parece. Ya que los pa\u00edses ricos hemos consumido-malgastado nuestros recursos ed\u00e1ficos, ahora comenzamos a comprar los de los pa\u00edses pobres con vistas a cubrir nuestras excesivas demandas de alimentos y biofuel. Sin embargo, resulta que muchos de los pa\u00edses afectados lo son tambi\u00e9n por la crisis alimentaria, as\u00ed como por las unos crecimientos de poblaci\u00f3n alarmantes. \u00bfQui\u00e9n demonios habla de sustentabilidad? De continuar con la globalizaci\u00f3n-bobalizaci\u00f3n galopante nos dirigiremos hacia un desastre descomunal, de consecuencias inimaginables. Se empez\u00f3 con vistas a incrementar la cosecha de los<b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\"> biocombustibles<\/span><\/b>. Sin embargo, <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">en estos momentos tambi\u00e9n preocupa dar de comer a una poblaci\u00f3n creciente<\/span><\/b>, especialmente en los<b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\"> pa\u00edses emergentes<\/span><\/b>.<b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: green;\"> \u00bfSi les arrebatamos las tierras, y otros recursos, renovables o no, que les vamos a dejar?<\/span><\/b><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Comic Sans MS&quot;;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Comic Sans MS&quot;;\">Y tal situaci\u00f3n resulta ser aun m\u00e1s esperp\u00e9ntica de lo que parece, si tenemos en cuenta que <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">India, China y otros dragones asi\u00e1ticos se han lanzado a los brazos de la bobalizaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica sin asumir la mejora de sus caducas, y deterioradas pr\u00e1cticas agrarias que han contaminado y degradado los suelos<\/span><\/b>. En lugar de cambiar su estrategia y reinvertir en su agro, con vistas a hacerlo m\u00e1s sustentable y rentable, <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">parece ser que les resulta m\u00e1s econ\u00f3mico comprar los suelos de otros pa\u00edses para abastecerse colonialmente<\/span><\/b>. Ya sabemos sobradamente que los gobiernos de muchos pa\u00edses desheredados no se preocupan de sus ciudadanos, intentando extraer pingues beneficios del caos reinante a su alrededor. Pro resulta que <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">en numerosos pa\u00edses africanos la poblaci\u00f3n se encuentra ya hambrienta y en constante crecimiento. \u00bfQu\u00e9 van a hacer? La FAO clama por la soberan\u00eda alimentaria de los \u00faltimos, mientras que<\/span><\/b> los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s adinerados tan solo piensan en mantener su crecimiento econ\u00f3mico, pase lo que pase y pese a quien pese. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Comic Sans MS&quot;;\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Comic Sans MS&quot;;\">Las pr\u00e1cticas bobalizantes, han mostrado sobradamente que, <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">una vez se han apoderado de un recurso determinado, lo explotan sin escr\u00fapulos y respeto por el medio ambiente<\/span><\/b>. Dicho de otro modo, comenzar\u00e1n a practicar <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">una agricultura de rapi\u00f1a<\/span><\/b> con el prop\u00f3sito de obtener los <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">m\u00e1ximos rendimientos posibles a corto plazo<\/span><\/b>. <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">Abuso en la aplicaci\u00f3n de fertilizantes, agroqu\u00edmicos y agua, tender\u00e1n a contaminar y degradar m\u00e1s aun los suelos<\/span><\/b>. <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">Cuando estos queden esquilmados, los abandonar\u00e1n e intentar\u00e1n comprar m\u00e1s tierras en otros lares, dejando tras de si pa\u00edses m\u00e1s desolados<\/span><\/b>, si es posible. De este modo, e<b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">vitan afrontar sus onerosas reformas agropecuarias pasando el problema a<\/span><\/b> los de siempre. between farmers, conservationists and investors keen to turn the rich soil into swathes of commercial farmland<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Tana river<\/span><\/st1:place><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"> sustains a rich biodiversity and thousands of residents who rely on it for fish and on its sedimentary deposits for farming and pasture. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">In December the residents won a court injunction temporarily halting the <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">country&#8217;s biggest sugar company, Mumias, from growing cane there for biofuel,<\/span><\/b> but the case has since stumbled on legal technicalities. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b style=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\" lang=\"EN-GB\">With the case still unresolved, <\/span><\/b><st1:country-region><st1:place><b style=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"> near Tana to the Gulf state of <\/span><st1:country-region><st1:place><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\">Qatar<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\" lang=\"EN-GB\"> to grow fruit and vegetables in exchange for the construction of a port, road and railway. <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: green;\">Despite the potential revenue that the projects can generate, residents here reject the sugar firm&#8217;s plan since it will displace 22,000 people and dry up the soil<\/span><\/b>. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial;\">\u00abWe can be evicted anytime&#8230; <b style=\"\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 102, 255);\">They would have to dry the area and all.
