Y a las pruebas me remito<\/strong><\/span><\/span>. Hoy os exponemos un <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>ejemplo palmario<\/strong> <\/span>(aunque existen otros muchos) <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>de corrupci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica<\/strong><\/span>, cuyo estudio incluso logr\u00f3 <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>inexplicablemente<\/strong><\/span> (o no, si el tribunal tambi\u00e9n fue sobornado) ser <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>galardonado con un premio \u201cverde\u201d. \u00bfAct\u00faan las plantaciones para la obtenci\u00f3n de pulpa de madera en Indonesia, incluso las forestadas sobre turberas<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #333333;\">(<\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.madrimasd.org\/blogs\/universo\/2011\/03\/30\/138691\">Histosoles<\/a>) <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">como secuestradoras de carbono de la atm\u00f3sfera?<\/span>.<\/strong> Ese monocultivo se est\u00e1 llevando a cabo, ya sea para <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>fines madereros\/papeleros<\/strong><\/span>, ya para la obtenci\u00f3n <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>de aceite de palma<\/strong><\/span>, por <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>grandes multinacionales en Indonesia<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0Tal hecho se afirma en la nota de prensa que os mostramos hoy fechada a finales de Octubre de 2011<strong>.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">El estudio \u201cindependiente\u201d, financiado por la multinacional APP y llevado a cabo en la Universidad agraria de Indonesia \u201cBogor\u201d<\/span><\/strong> fue merecedor del\u00a0 Premio \u201cVerde\u201d otorgado en dicho pa\u00eds. Sb trataba de una noticia\u00a0que se defend\u00eda\u00a0 que\u00a0sobre \u201c<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>todo tipo de suelos<\/strong><\/span>\u201d estas pr\u00e1cticas secuestraban carbono, incluso en <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">\u00a0<strong>turberas<\/strong> <\/span>degradadas o <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>esquilmadas, en las que hasta hace pocos a\u00f1os crec\u00edan bosques v\u00edrgenes inexplorados<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #333333;\">Me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n sobremanera, por cuanto,<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong> de acuerdo a mis conocimientos se me antojaba inveros\u00edmil<\/strong><\/span><\/span>. Al leer que tambi\u00e9n inclu\u00edan bosques v\u00edrgenes sobre turberas, sospech\u00e9 que hab\u00eda que profundizar algo m\u00e1s,\u00a0ya que <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">me resultaba imposible de aceptar. Y as\u00ed fue. Fuente: Mongabay-com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abajo os muestro toda una serie de post, editados en nuestra bit\u00e1cora desde \u201c2006\u201d, en los que denunciaba que la deforestaci\u00f3n de selvas v\u00edrgenes sobre suelos pantanosos acarrear\u00eda m\u00e1s emisiones de CO<sub>2<\/sub> a la atm\u00f3sfera que las que se pretend\u00edan secuestrar, de acuerdo a los biofuleros. La primera nota de prensa (Octubre de 2011) que os dejo abajo, da cuenta de los resultados \u00a0de un estudio subvencionado por una multinacional y llevado a cabo por una universidad en la que se dec\u00eda comprobar esta descabellada tesis. Si no me equivoco ese mismo mes, la investigaci\u00f3n \u201cindependiente\u201d recibi\u00f3 el mentado premio verde. Y yo me pregunto: que \u00bf\u201cexpertos\u201d formaban parte del tribunal?. <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Rastreando los contenidos me top\u00e9 despu\u00e9s con otra nota de prensa de 2012 que os reproduzco a continuaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/span>, permiti\u00e9ndome una traducci\u00f3n libre avalada en otros estudios que he le\u00eddo sobre el tema durante \u201ca\u00f1os\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Paper giant <\/em><\/strong><strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asiapulppaper.com\/\">Asia Pulp &amp; Paper<\/a><\/em><\/strong><strong><em> (APP),<\/em><\/strong><em> a multibillion-dollar company <strong>that is part of the Sinar Mas Group<\/strong>, has been misleading consumers and investors with a massive PR campaign aimed at masking the truth behind its clear cutting operations in Indonesia. In reality It has been destroying the native forests of Indonesia making way for its commercial pulp plantations. APP\u2019s clear cutting, has left Indonesia scared and the <\/em><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/topic\/wildlife\">wildlife<\/a><\/em><em> without their vital habitat.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>28 de abril de 2012. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/article\/asia-s-a-p-p-destroying-indonesia-s-forest-and-wildlife\">La Gran Multinacional Papelera Asi\u00e1tica<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asiapulppaper.com\/\">Asia Pulp &amp; Paper<\/a> (APP), que forma parte del grupo Sinar Mas, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>ha mentido a los consumidores e inversores con una masiva campa\u00f1a promocional destinada a enmascarar la verdad que se esconde detr\u00e1s de sus operaciones de tala de selvas tropicales en Indonesia<\/strong><\/span>, muchos de ellos primigenios, con vistas a repoblar otros de los que se obtiene pulpa de madera. <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>En realidad, han devastado los mentados bosques nativos de Indonesia allanando el camino para imponer sus plantaciones<\/strong><\/span> de las que se obtiene pulpa comercial, obteniendo as\u00ed suculentos dividendos. Las pr\u00e1cticas de APP, han dejado aterrorizada a Indonesia, aniquilando parte de una \u00a0biodiversidad \u00a0(vida silvestre) a\u00fan desconocida para le ciencia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tengamos presente que \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.diarioinformacion.com\/ciencia\/2105\/indonesia-entra-record-guiness-pais-rapido-destruye-selva\/652098.html\">Indonesia entra en el R\u00e9cord G\u00fcines como el pa\u00eds que m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido destruye la selva<\/a>, lo que hace sospechar que el gobierno de este pa\u00eds tambi\u00e9n pudiera estar implicado en la tropel\u00eda. Si dese\u00e1is informaci\u00f3n adicional de la tragedia de estas selvas,v\u00edrgenes o casi v\u00edrgenes, os recuerdo que la activista <a href=\"http:\/\/www.consumer.es\/web\/es\/medio_ambiente\/naturaleza\/2007\/08\/15\/165887.php\">Karmele Llano<\/a> lleva una <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecologistasenaccion.org\/article21993.html\">batalla numantina con vistas a denunciar estos desmanes<\/a>, como se muestra, por ejemplo, en la siguiente noticia entre otras muchas: \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.madrimasd.org\/informacionIdi\/analisis\/analisis\/analisis.asp?id=34836\">Agro-combustibles: \u00bfla soluci\u00f3n o causa del cambio clim\u00e1tico?<\/a>\u201d. Pod\u00e9is leer sus denuncias ya que se encuentra all\u00ed, en Indonesia, y atesora informaci\u00f3n de primera mano.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Antes se dec\u00eda en Espa\u00f1a \u201c<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><em>Quien no corre vuela<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201d, refr\u00e1n que habr\u00eda que reemplazar por este otro \u201c<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><em>quien no es pobre roba<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201d. Nuestros financiaros\/banqueros\/constructores\/pol\u00edticos, son una buena prueba de todo ello. La m\u00e1s elemental de las l\u00f3gicas nos dicta que <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>no se puede ser juez y parte al mismo tiempo<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Pues bien, ante la denuncia de los movimientos conservacionistas, una de las multinacionales acusadas, solicit\u00f3 \u00a0un \u201cestudio independiente\u201d, es decir fraudulento (ya que no se puede demostrar lo indemostrable\u201d), a un equipo de investigaci\u00f3n de una Universidad \u201cIndependiente\u201d. Este equipo \u201cobjetivamente independiente\u201d demostr\u00f3, con \u201cpruebas cient\u00edficas irrefutables\u201d, que los que les pagaron ten\u00edan m\u00e1s raz\u00f3n que un santo (habr\u00eda que analizar las cuentas bancarias de estos investigadores). A ra\u00edz de tan excelsa y concienzuda investigaci\u00f3n, un jurado formado por \u201creputados expertos independientes\u201d otorg\u00f3 un galard\u00f3n \u201cverde que te quiero verde\u201d a los \u201chonestos\u201d autores del estudio. Sin embargo, al final, la irrefrenable ira de unos analfabetos conservacionistas acab\u00f3 inmisericordemente, con tal honorable iniciativa apelando al uso de todo tipo de triqui\u00f1uelas de la peor cala\u00f1a (como el m\u00e9todo cient\u00edfico, y absurdas objetividades\u201d. \u00bfAlguien se puede tragar algo as\u00ed?.<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Pues esto es lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo, nos guste o no, y la corrupci\u00f3n se agudizar\u00e1 mucho m\u00e1s si<\/span> <\/strong>finalmente la industria acarreara con buena parte de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, como desean nuestros \u201chonestos\u201d poderes f\u00e1cticos. \u00a0Nadie tira piedras contra su propio tejado y los corruptos menos que nadie. Multinacional corrupta (como casi todas), investigadores corruptos, premios otorgados por otros investigadores corruptos, en un pa\u00eds gobernado por mucho corrupto. Que nos tomen por imb\u00e9ciles me indigna m\u00e1s que tanta corrupci\u00f3n, por cuanto insulta nuestras inteligencias. An interesting concept that<\/strong> runs counter to the common portrayal of plantation forests. But new research shows that <strong>plantation forests can actually improve carbon sequestration over degraded forests and in some cases even retain more carbon than natural forests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">APP is working to <strong>better understand and document the actual role and impact of plantation forests on greenhouse emissions<\/strong>. This was the first-ever independent research conducted <strong>on Indonesian pulpwood plantations<\/strong> analyzing the impact of GHG emissions (CO2 and CO4) on all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terradaily.com\/reports\/Peat_forest_expert_conducts_first_research_on_greenhouse_gases_on_all_soil_types_999.html\">soil types<\/a> across all seasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">APP engaged Bogor University lecturer Basuki Sumawinata to lead the research team in analyzing and taking reliable carbon stock calculations in plantations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sumawinata said over the course of the study, he and his research team <strong>analyzed all soil types in lowland forest and adjacent upland areas, including both pristine and degraded natural peat areas in Indonesia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beyond examining the impact of GHG emissions, the study will <strong>also analyzed how effectively trees and other fauna in the peat<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terradaily.com\/reports\/Peat_forest_expert_conducts_first_research_on_greenhouse_gases_on_all_soil_types_999.html\">sequester carbon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abThis is quite important because there is no information about carbon or gas emissions from <strong>acacia plantations or peat land<\/strong>,\u00bb Sumawinata said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab<strong>So from this research, we try to find the amount of carbon emitted and sequestered in different types of land<\/strong>. I hope I can get new information about gas emissions so that we can better cope with that problem.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">APP collaborated with Sumawinata on this first-of-its-kind study as part of its <strong>Indonesia research and development initiatives during Indonesia&#8217;s two-year moratorium on new forest concession licenses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the moratorium period, APP has embarked on a range of research and development initiatives to help advance future sustainable forestry programs. In the spirit of Indonesia&#8217;s collaboration with Norway, carbon research is among APP&#8217;s top priorities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Coming out of the moratorium, the goal is to be in a position to create more accurate models to measure the real impact of sustainable plantation development and use that data to drive decision making and planning for future plantations and conservation areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research study was carried out from September 2010 to March 2011 effectively proving that the development of pulpwood plantations &#8211; or afforestation &#8211; on degraded peat land, or land that had been stripped of forest, can help the land sustainably recover contributing significantly to increased carbon absorption.
