The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light the need to consider our relationship with animals and the need of increasing food security and reducing the impact of human activity on the environment. The information from the genome of viruses, bacteria and animals allows us to create a safer and more sustainable environment for the interaction with animals. Come to our laboratories and we will show you how sequencing by means of nanopores allows us to know the variants of the genomes of these organisms, and how it helps us to detect possible zoonoses or to mitigate climate change.
