What happens if you drink a glass of water while chewing on a peppermint chili? What happens when you eat the chili from the nachos plate? And when you add mustard to a hot dog? We are going to explain that the perception of these flavors is produced by activating molecules found in the sensory fibers responsible for causing thermal sensations of cold or heat, but they can also cause very unpleasant sensations ... Thanks to the active principles of certain food ingredients, we are learning in more detail how the somatosensory system works and we want to explain it to you while you try some of these compounds.
