Raffaella Meffe

About me

Hello, I am Raffaella! I studied Geological Sciences in my country (Italy) and, since traveling is my passion, I went to Germany to do a PhD on groundwater contamination. Since 2011, I have been working at IMDEA Water as a postdoctoral researcher in the SWQ group (Soil and Water Quality in the Environment). I am also currently deputy director of the Institute. My research activity is mainly focused on natural attenuation processes of contaminants of emerging concern and the risk to human health related to their presence in the environment. Research is my job and my passion! In my free time, I do plenty of crafts, I love to travel, watch movies, go to theater and simply walk withough direction.
