About me

Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. He is a chemical engineer with a PhD in chemical engineering from the UCM. In his research career in chemical engineering, he has published more than 100 articles in international journals. He is currently the principal investigator of the UCM in a Horizon Europe project, in which he is developing a process to obtain aviation biofuels from waste.
His spare time is devoted to disseminating the history of science during the Silver Age of Spanish Culture (1898-1936). In 2020, he published the book Ramón y Cajal: El ocaso del genio, which describes the last years of the Nobel Prize winner's life and the fate of his legacy after his death. Daily, he spreads the thought and work of Ramón y Cajal on the social network Twitter.
