He has previously developed his research career at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and in prestigious international centres. His research within the INPROQUIMA group at Complutense University focuses on the development and application of electrochemical technologies for the removal of priority and emerging pollutants in industrial and hospital effluents, the regeneration of adsorbent materials by electrochemical processes and the application of photo-solar technology in water treatment.
