Daniel Torregrosa, Chemist and Scientific Disseminator, Murcia.
Member of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (Murcia Territorial Section). He has also been coordinator of the cycles 'CIeNZA', Encounters with science and SCIENZA FICTION, at the Regional Library of Murcia, curator of the exhibition 'DIVINA CIENCIA', columnist in the newspaper 'La Verdad de Murcia' and collaborator in the magazine Muy Interesante, as well as in various regional and national media. In addition to being an excellent speaker, he offers very interesting outreach talks at different events. As a writer, he is the author of the works '101 essential works of scientific dissemination' (BRMU/Ediciones Tres Fronteras, 2019), 'From the myth to the laboratory' (Ed. Cálamo, 2018) and co-author of the books 'Grandes enigmas de la ciencia' (Ed. Grijalbo, 2014) and 'Manual de linternas' (Ed. LyL, 2018)
In his latest book, 'Amazing Chemistry' (Pinolia, 2023), he offers a fun and accessible journey through the history of the molecules that surround us in everyday life. Torregrosa, brings us the stories of everyday compounds such as coffee, ammonia or aspirin and tells us how they were discovered in a tone reminiscent of the best books by Isaac Asimov.
