LARA SILVIA CORRAL GARCÍA

About me

Since September 2022 I have been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. My research activity has focused on studying the effects of global change, such as the increase in temperature and ultraviolet radiation, on the metabolism of oceanic plankton. Currently, I am part of the Microbial Ecology and Continental Aquatic Systems research group and I belong to the Biodiversity and Global Change Research Center (CIBC) of the UAM. I continue studying marine ecosystems, and expanding this line of research to continental aquatic systems, mainly in temporary lagoons in extreme environments.
My great passions are diving, sailing, yoga and African dance, always much better if they are shared with loved ones.
