EVA MARÍA CUESTA MORENO

About me

Work area: I work in the Ecology department of the Autonomous University of Madrid.

I work with dung beetles, that is, those that feed on excrement! And although they may sound vulgar, they are very important insects because they do a lot of work where they live: they bury excrement, fertilize the soil, bury plant seeds... In my research team, we want to know how climate change affects them. to them, and to those functions they perform in the field.

Hobbies: I love going for walks in the countryside, and since I was little I really like theater, writing, and creating content, so now I use all of that to disseminate science. I created an association, Biotura, to be able to bring science everywhere in many different formats (texts, workshops, talks, videos...) and for all types of audiences (children, families, adults...).
