The activity will consist of a walk through the Royal Botanical Garden “Alfonso XIII”, during which the general characteristics of the plants will be discussed. Later, the focus will shift to some of the species present in the garden with potential anticancer properties. We will talk about the active principle attributed to these species, as well as the basic aspects for their identification. A small dichotomous key will be provided to facilitate this process and introduce attendees to the world of botany. The activity will be led by Professor Jesús Palá Paúl and his team (Yolanda Pérez Pérez, Rubén Abad Calderón, Paula Cerrato Ruiz, and Iker Marín Casas).
