Mounia Al Bahri Zemmoury holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2013), with a cum laude distinction and European Mention. I am currently a Professor and Researcher in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Technical Chemistry at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
My research focuses on: preparation and characterization of activated carbons and biomass-derived catalysts; treatment of contaminated water through adsorption and catalytic hydrodechlorination; and the catalytic synthesis of high-value-added products. These areas are of strategic interest to the energy, environmental, and new materials sectors.
Outside of my professional life, I value spending time with my family.
