Miguel Salazar Martínez
About me
Biotechnologist from the University of Almería, with a Master’s degree in Health Biotechnology specializing in New Drugs (University Pablo de Olavide) and a Master's in Science Education (University of Almería). He is currently pursuing his PhD at the 3D Laboratory: Development, Differentiation, and Degeneration, at Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas Margarita Salas (CIB-CSIC), within the PhD program in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine at the Complutense University of Madrid. His research focuses on studying the role of HMGB1 as an alarmin in the progression of Retinitis Pigmentosa, evaluating the therapeutic potential of the antagonist BoxA in retinal degeneration as a possible treatment.
