Rosa María Lozano Puerto
About me
PhD in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Senior Scientist at CSIC since 2001. In 2008, she founded the Cell-Biomaterial Recognition Group at the Center for Biological Research Margarita Salas. She has authored 83 publications, including 71 peer-reviewed scientific articles, and is a co-inventor of 19 patents. As a group leader, her research has focused on the interaction between cells and biomaterials, with particular emphasis on metallic and ceramic materials for bone repair applications. She also participates in the FECYT science outreach project “Ciencia para todxs.”
