Gibran Gómez holds a PhD in Software, Systems and Computing from the UPM. He works as a researcher at the IMDEA Software Institute, where he collaborates with the Security and Privacy research group, analysing the techniques and strategies used by cybercrime groups to abuse different encryption technologies, such as the Transport Layer Security protocol (TLS), or blockchains, such as Bitcoin.
In his free time, he enjoys listening to and dancing to live music, learning to play instruments, discovering distant cultures, and, in general, surfing the unknown.
