About me

Guadalupe Ximena Bazán, a graduate of the Catholic University of Cuyo in Argentina, obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition in 2014. She worked as a nutritionist specializing in child malnutrition until 2018, when she decided to continue her studies in Spain through a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Applied Dietetics from the Complutense University of Madrid. In the same institution, she collaborated for three years as a clinical nutritionist in the Department of Physical Activity and Sport of the Faculty of Medicine. In January 2023, she joined the IMDEA Molecular Oncology Group as an Industrial PhD student. Her research focuses on the analysis of bioactives, especially rosemary extract, and the validation of a nutraceutical product derived from it, as a potential protector of metabolic health in breast cancer. The main objective is to achieve a product that improves the symptoms secondary to chemotherapy and hormonal treatments, and thus provide a better quality of life for women affected by this disease. She is currently part of the team at the Nutritional Genomics and Food Platform known as GENYAL.
