A series of activities are proposed to identify the main applications and implications of nanotechnology in today's society. A series of experiments and talks demonstrating the use of nanotechnology for experiments related to health and food safety will be shown. Some experiments They can be reproduced at home. 1. Portable devices (mobile phone) to observe the movement of nanoparticles/nanomotors in real time in microliters of sample (disease diagnosis). 2. Micromotors for the destruction of microplastics and capture of pollutants in the environment. Talk and demonstration in real time with commercial colors. 3. Portable devices based on nanomaterials for the diagnosis of diseases. Practical demonstrations. 4. Gold nanoparticles that change color in the presence of contaminants: traffic lights indicating contamination in the environment.
