About me

I studied a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Sciences at the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. There, I had the opportunity to focus on the study of organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms. My undergraduate thesis was based on the design of photoredox reactions using an organic catalyst and the synthesis of fluorescent molecules, as well as their study for potential use in OLED devices.
Years later, in 2016, I began a Ph.D. in chemistry where my research centered around developing and studying photoredox catalysis using visible light applied to organic synthesis methodologies. In 2019, I was awarded an ELAP fellowship, and I joined Prof. Dr. Scaiano in Ottawa, Canada, for six months. My main research during this period focused on developing a photosynthetic route for the catalytic reduction of azides using Pd@TiO2-Nps. During that time, I gained a solid foundation in synthesis techniques for obtaining complex organic molecules and acquired knowledge in various aspects of organic chemistry and photophysics. I also developed a strong understanding of radical chemistry and the synthesis of nanoparticles using photoreduction methodologies for that purpose.
Finally, in 2022, I completed my Ph.D. in chemistry and began a postdoctoral research position at IMDEA Energy in Madrid. Here, I am studying the design, synthesis, and characterization of MOFs (metal-organic frameworks) that can be used for various applications such as environmental remediation and industrial processes, among others.
In addition to my career in chemistry, I consider myself a person with many hobbies, including playing the violin and viola, swimming, chess, and card games.
