About me
Throughout her academic career, she has earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and a Master's degree in Food, Nutrition, and Metabolism from the University of Navarra (UNAV). She completed her doctoral research at the Nutrition Research Center of UNAV under a predoctoral contract, focusing on the analysis of risk factors associated with obesity and its comorbidities—including dietary and sleep patterns, physical activity, gut microbiota, and quality of life—in both pediatric and adult populations. Her work aimed to contribute to the development of more effective and personalized treatment strategies. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at IMDEA Nutrition. Her publication record reflects strong scientific impact, with 14.3% of her papers involving international collaboration, 28.6% ranking in the highest global citation percentile, and 42.9% published in top-quartile journals by CiteScore. Her average Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) is 0.88. Notably, she has published eight articles on obesity, microbiota, and health, collectively cited over 35 times. Her involvement in projects such as the Childhood Obesity Risk Assessment Longitudinal Study (CORALs) and METAINFLAMACIÓN-CM underscores her commitment to translational research aimed at addressing urgent public health priorities and improving population health outcomes.
