About me

Antonio Ballesteros González is Professor of English at the UNED, Spain. He holds a Ph. D. in English Studies (Universidad Complutense, Madrid). He is the author of several books (on the myth of Narcissus and the doppelganger, the vampire in English and American literature, women and fantasy in the nineteenth century, and monstrosity in the Victorian period), and has edited and/or translated into Spanish works by, among others, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Aphra Behn, Defoe, Mary Shelley, Wordsworth, Poe, Wilde, Conrad and T. S. Eliot. He has also co-edited collective volumes on several topics and has devoted more than 180 articles and book chapters to English-speaking writers and Comparative Literature studies.
