This activity demonstrates the operation of a photovoltaic panel that includes a prototype of electronics designed for self-management. Thanks to this electronics, accompanied by a real-time monitoring system of the panel's status and the definition of an algorithm that allows autonomous decision-making on the panel, an intelligent panel is achieved. This panel allows for improved individual production as well as coordination with nearby panels when they are interconnected. To showcase the benefits of this new technology, results obtained in Project COPILOT (ref: Y2020/EMT-6368) are presented, in which the panel is related to a fleet of drones, and in Project Rural VPP (ref: SBPLY/21/180501/000223), in which the panel participates in local energy markets.
