About me

I have a degree in Biology from the University of Cagliari (ITALY). I have a master’s degree in environmental microbiology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. In addition, I am a Senior Laboratory Technician. I have worked at CSIC, at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences where I have been studying microorganisms and plants in soils contaminated by heavy metals and their importance in phytoremediation. In the last 5 years I have been part of the group of hospital infections resistant to antibiotics at the National Center of Microbiology (Instituto de Salud Carlos III). Currently I work at Institute IMDEA water in the Membrane Technology group where we study possible strategies for the decontamination of micro nano plastics and biological agents in wastewater.
In my free time my priority is my family, but I also love spending quality time with my friends. I am passionate about reading, watching TV series, listening to good music and traveling whenever possible.
