I am a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the area of Plant Physiology. I dedicate my research to the search for new active principles with pharmacological activity from plants. Since I was a child, I have been passionate about the world of research. I consider myself a scientific “gossip”, since I love to know what happens and why things happen in the fields in which I do research. The feeling of bringing the University closer to the world and to real problems, even if only minimally, seems to me to be one of the most important aspects of research. Teaching and research leave little free time in my life, but I love to read, go to the movies and travel. Those are my favorite hobbies, because as far as sports are concerned, unfortunately I do little exercise. I like the pool and the beach, so when the good weather starts, I do practice some swimming.
