About me

PhD in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Holder of a DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising (UCM), and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and History (UCM). Recipient of the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2015–16 (Complutense University – Faculty of Information Sciences).
Currently a Tenured Lecturer, she teaches in the Official Master's in Digital Journalism and the Official Master's in Digital Competence and Computational Thinking, both at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC). She is an Expert Evaluator for the Spanish State Research Agency.
She has served as Academic Coordinator for Innovation at the Center for Teaching Innovation and Digital Education; Researcher at the Spanish Center for Subtitling and Audiodescription at Universidad Carlos III, working on multimedia guide development for museums adapted for people with disabilities (GVAM Project), and on digital television accessibility (ACANTO Project); and Project Coordinator at the National Center for Educational Information and Communication of the Ministry of Education and Science (now INTEF).
She is a member of the CIBERIMAGINARIO research group and Associate Editor of the scientific journal ICONO14.
