About me
My field of research is focused on Bioinorganic chemistry, and more specifically in the development of antitumor platinum complexes with unconventional structures. The aim is to design new drugs that can solve problems that arise in chemotherapy treatments in which cisplatin is used. As a teacher, I participate in activities to promote scientific culture in schools carrying out crystal growth workshops to explore different chemical-physical concepts and in science fairs such as "Madrid is Science" or "Science Week". During 2009-2018, I was involved in the "Internships for high school students" carried out at the UAM and I was coordinator of the teaching innovation projects INNOVA and IMPLANTA: Don't imagine the crystals! Understanding structures with 3D models and virtual reality, in 2023-2024.
